Foster Care Support
Foster Care Support is a program area offered by The Community Partnership that focuses on supporting and engaging with other adults in our area that serve the youth we work with.
We work closely with staff from the 25th Circuit Children’s Division office to provide resources, information, support, and appreciation events for foster parents and case workers.
Foster Parent Support
We work with resource families in our area by showing them regularly how much they are appreciated, and to help alleviate any training burdens they may have, so that we may continue to maintain quality foster homes in our community. Some of the events that we host/sponsor on their behalf include:
Foster Family Christmas Party
Foster Parent Spring Picnic/Training Night
Grand families Raising Grandchildren Educational Conference
Additional training supports offered to foster parents as needed:
Resource Lending Library, where DVDs and books can be checked out as an alternative method for receiving continuing education training hours.
Car Seat Installation/Safety Checks by our certified Car Seat Technician (by appointment only)
STARS/SPAULDING training classes for licensing; we serve as a regular panel member to educate future resource families about all of our programs and services.
Case Worker Support
In addition to assisting foster parents, we also work closely with Children’s Division staff to show them that the work they do with the youth in our community is appreciated. Some of the services we provide to case workers in the 25th Circuit include:
Appreciation events – lunches, breakfasts, treats, etc.
On-going community resource support – serve as community member/consultant for adoption staffings, PPRT meetings, and regional meetings.
