The Chafee Independent Living Program provides comprehensive life skills training and resources to youth aged 14 – 21 in state custody. Goals and skills are developed to allow the youth to become successful, independent adults. Skill sessions are delivered in individual or group settings.

Eligibility

  • Between the ages of 14 – 21
  • Residing in the 25th Judicial Circuit—Phelps, Pulaski, Texas, or Maries counties in Missouri
  • Currently in state custody, adopted, or awarded guardianship after age 16, or released from care after age 18
  • Referred by an Older Youth Specialist and submitted by the Case Worker
