Getting involved at The Community Partnership Resale Shop is easy! We utilize volunteers every day in many ways. We need volunteers to help with our salvage baling events, hanging up clothes, cleaning, sorting, pricing, organizing, and many more tasks around the shop. Over 75,000 volunteer hours have been donated over the years, and we consider our volunteers the backbone of the shop. There is always something for our volunteers to do! Whether you are volunteering as an individual, or with a church, club, or organization, we appreciate the time and effort you give us. Without our community, The Community Partnership and The Resale Shop wouldn’t be possible!
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, US citizens, on average, throw away nearly 70 pounds of clothing and textiles each year. We are proud of our role in recycling items such as furniture, clothing, and other household items. Our salvage baling program has recycled over 500 tons over the past twelve years, making those items available to other communities and countries, and keeping them out of landfills.
We take referrals for assistance and store vouchers from many local agencies and non-profits, including, but not limited to, the following:
- American Red Cross
- Children’s Division
- Choices for People
- Pathways Behavioral Healthcare
- Pregnancy Resource Center
- Rolla Public Schools
- Russell House
- The Mission
We provided more than $10,000 in vouchers to those in need this past year. Please see the Resale Shop Director for more information.
