Chafee Independent Living Program

About Us

The Chafee Independent Living Program is designed to deliver comprehensive life skills training and resources to youth age 14-21 in state custody. The Family Support Teams for these foster youth use information gathered by the Ansell Casey Assessment and personal observation to help develop goals and areas of improvement for the youth to work on so that they may be equipped with the necessary knowledge to become successful, independent adults, upon exiting care. These skills sessions can be delivered in a one-on-one or group setting, depending on the needs of the youth served.
