Help Us Get Free Stuff!

Don't throw away your Cell Phones, Empty ink jet and Laser printer cartridges!!!

School districts and nonprofit organizations across the county have been dealing with huge budget cuts, but we’ve found a way to supplement our finances to get the products we need.
The Community Partnership is involved in the FundingFactory® Recycling Program! The program runs year-round, accumulating constant income for our efforts. But we won’t get very far without your support. This is a simple fundraiser that helps subsidize our budget. Our organization utilizes the Funding Factory Recycling Program to recycle collected cartridges and cell phones.
How can you help? Instead of throwing away empty cartridges from your printer, fax machine and desktop copier, bring them by The Community Partnership.
Your help is vital to our fundraising success. Already with donations of cell phones and ink jet cartridges we were able to purchase a color printer for one of our programs, and an 60” inflatable ball for two of our programs!
If you have any questions about this great opportunity, please feel free to call at 573-368-2849. Thank you for your support!

Rolla Regional Health Forum

Rolla Regional Health Forum, Wednesday, February 21

Funding for Missouri's children's healthcare is a topic of great discussion in both the Missouri General Assembly and Congress. The General Assembly is contemplating sweeping changes to what services are provided, to whom they will be given, and to how they will be delivered. Nationally, Congress must reauthorize the State Childrens Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) or Missouri will lose billions of dollars needed to insure its children receive adequate, timely healthcare.
The Partnership, Citizens for Missouri Children (CMC), and 15 other state and local groups will host a Children's Healthcare Forum on Wednesday February 21 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Phelps County Courthouse to discuss the state of healthcare for our children and the pending changes in funding.
The Forum is open to everyone who is interested in this vital component of our children's futures.

Learning Together with Jim Gill

Jim Gill visited Rolla on January 6, 2007

Jim Gill visited Rolla on January 6, 2007 to perform and educate local childcare providers, children and their families. Thirty-six childcare providers took part in a workshop and almost 300 children and parents learned, sang and had a great time at a concert. The event was held at the United Methodist Family Life Center. Jim Gill is a musician and author but he is also, by training, a child development specialist with a graduate degree from the Erikson Institute of Chicago. Because of his studies, his goal has always been to promote active play between adults and children with his music. Rather than performing for the children and parents at his concerts, Jim leads them to sing and play together.
