Should I (Could I) Go to College?
Teen parents and teens transitioning out of the foster system often need assistance in navigating the maze of the college tuition aid and school application process. Some need assurance that they are, indeed candidates for higher education.
Mary Fraley is the Education Planning Mentor/Coordinator. She works with our Foster Youth and Young Parents to help them devise an individualized plan for pursuing post-secondary education.
Mary has been with The Community Partnership almost 4 years, working in the Capable Kids and Families Department. She is also an instructor at Southwest Baptist University's Salem campus. Mary assists the Young Parents and Independent Living Program participants with post-secondary education goals. She will help students decide which school best suits their career choice goals, help with the FAFSA process (Pell Grant), and help complete applications to schools. Mary will be located in the YP Department on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Mary can be reached at 573.368.2849 or e-mail at mary.fraley(at)thecommunitypartnership.org.
