What a great event we celebrated on October 27th! I am constantly amazed at the generosity of our community. And, we have more news about generous partners. Henry and Laura Antolak (Forum Dental) have kindly allowed us to place a "Partnership Donation House" at the office suite right across from the new sanctuary being built by Green Tree Christian Church on 10th Street. Since we moved the Resale Shop to Highway 63 we wanted to have a convenient location for donations on this side of town! Please don't forget - if you have more than can fit in your car - just give us a call and we might be able to arrange a pick-up for you! (573.426.5923)

More Event News!

It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our Luncheon and when I looked at our guest list I couldn't believe that I missed the chance to say hi to so many of you! In case you missed the chance to see Abigail - here is a cute picture of her sweet self. Her mom Julie was one of our speakers at the event. Actually Julie was an absolutely amazing speaker at our event!

So far our stats look like this: 231 attendees with pledges of more than $105,000 - and one check for $10,000 from a new friend of The Partnership! We continue to receive donations and pledges and are so very grateful for your support. Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who was thinking about us - it is a huge amount of effort but a great way to share our stories and a chance for us to ask for your financial support. Mark your calendars for next year, October 26, 2011!

Young Parents Program Last year the Young Parents and Mentors had such a great time playing Bingo that they decided to have another Bingo Party this week. Marilyn had some great looking prize baskets that will make great gifts. If you would like to join us for a Young Parent event; think you would like to become a mentor; or even have an idea for a class or outing - please give us a call - we would love to hear from you. Just ask for someone in the Young Parent Department 573.368.2849. Did I tell you that we now have a Young Parent Program in Dent County? We are looking for mentors, meeting space, and program participants. We also have young parents from Bourbon and Cuba so if you are thinking about mentoring and live in either of these communities please give us a call. My daughter, Cara, had a friend in high school who would always go "into training" for Thanksgiving by bringing extra food to lunch during November. Well, if you would like to "get in shape" for your Thanksgiving I hope you will join us at Chartwells this November 18th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The good people at Chartwells are donating 15% of the proceeds from their Annual Holiday Buffet to us here at The Community Partnership.
