The Community Partnership
Notes From Amy
Welcome 2012!

Dear ###USER_firstname###,

Yes it is really a new year and I hope you had a lovely holiday! The only bad thing about a holiday is that it seems to be over before I realize the time is gone. Well, I am back to work and feel so very blessed to have such an amazing job. I thought I would spend a little time in this Note to let you know some of the upcoming events and hope that you might like to join us!

Make a Difference - Become a Mentor

One of our great mentors gets to hold her mentees wee one!

One of the most rewarding volunteer experiences is the the opportunity to be a mentor. Mentors act as listeners, supporters, and friends. In our Young Parent Program we rely on volunteer mentors to help participants navigate the often choppy waters of young parenthood. It is our job to screen, train, and keep in touch with this great group of community volunteers and they in turn give so much to the youth in our community.

If you are interested in learning more about this great volunteer opportunity please join us on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from noon to 1:00 p.m. for a Burgers and Buddies Luncheon. This free lunch will give you an opportunity to learn about the benefits and obligations of this wonderful work. If you would like to attend please contact our office (573.368.2849) and let us know if you and/or a friend will attend or please email Marilyn marilyn.newkirk@thecommmunitypartnership.org. Lunch is on us at Penelope's so it should be great. You might also find that you would really like an opportunity to share your life with a new young friend. See you there!

Restyle in Style!

Katie and Maria have a

Katie O'Neil owner of Love Me Two Times Consignment Boutique in Rolla has a gorgeous shop with amazing merchandise. Not only does Katie have a great store - she has a great heart. She brings bags and bags of great donations to our Resale Shop all the time and has even made arrangements with her consignment sellers that if something doesn't sell they donate it to The Partnership!

The Resale Shop is located behind Big O Tires on Highway 63 and (soon we will be able to say next to Kohl's!) is such an amazing benefit for so many. You can get great bargains, profits come back to The Partnership programs
