There are so many new things to tell you about. This Note is one of them, also our new website, and Facebook. Well, after much work Alex and Michelle have launched our wonderful new website. I cannot wait for you to see it! Once you get a chance to take a peek please let me know what you think! We are working to get all of our staff trained so we can add new info all the time! My daughter Amalie also created a page for us on Facebook! I am only on Facebook every few months so I am not very good at knowing what to look for! I really would like to hear your impressions!
Moms and Daughters Learn Together

I will be starting a new Growing Together classes beginning Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Growing Together is an amazing set of classes that teach moms and their daughters age 9-11 how to jump-start conversations and communications about sexuality, feelings, values, and appropriate behavior. Girls, Inc. emphasizes the parent’s role as the primary sexuality educators of their children and works to give them the tools they need to effectively and appropriately communicate with their daughters. Key topics include changes during puberty, anatomy, physiology and hygiene, adolescent sexual development and feelings, and values and expectations for teen sexual behavior. We still have a couple of spots open so please contact Valerie by email or at our office if you and your daughter would like to reserve a spot!
Baby Bucks is Coming!

| Shopping at the March Baby Bucks

It is hard to believe but Baby Bucks is just weeks away. This is an amazing day for our young parents to use the Baby Bucks they earn throughout the year to purchase clothing and needed baby items. We are still looking for items and for people to help us get items ready for the day. If you are interested in donating or in spending the day with a group of friends washing and sorting clothes - Marilyn would love to hear from you.
We are also very excited about a new partnership. Drs. Moorkamp and Wilsdorf will be working at the RTC Dental Hygiene Clinic with dental hygiene students to provide reduced cost dental services for our young moms. Did you know that the bacteria that causes cavities can be passed from the mom to her children (sharing food or kisses)? If the cavities are fixed the mom's won't be passing on this bacteria to their children - this plus regular dental care is real prevention at work! Thanks to RTC, Bill and Jon, and our own Valerie Brunk (who will be doing scheduling) for this wonderful new service!

So, what do you think of this new Notes? We will also be sending you our program newsletters in this new format. Please remember that you are always free to unsubscribe (the little link listed below) - I only want to keep you up-to-date not bug you. Thanks again and again for all of your support - I appreciate everything you do!
