Last week was such an exciting celebration for the Capable Kids and Families Program - our Ten Year Anniversary! I wanted to share extra pictures with you from our celebration of CKF so I am going to send you two Notes close together - there is just so much going on and I would like you to know what is happening!

Pooh Picnic!

We had a wonderful time. The afternoon started with Susie Baldwin cleaning and decorating. Then Kathy Manion arrived with a beautiful cake she donated for the event. It was so lovely and so delicious - not a piece was left. We also had wonderful food from Dottye Wolf, Wendy Young, Barb Durnin, Hannah Bagnall, Dilek Acar, Marilyn Frederick, and Theresa McCarthy-Brow. Jodi Waltman and Sarah Hultine Massengale also provided for our feast!
John Butz fired up the grill and Rory McCarthy watched to make sure all was well. The day was just beautiful and the hamburgers and hotdogs were great too! We were a little worried about having enough food but I think everyone had plenty to eat and share!
Winnie the Pooh emerged from the 100 Acre Woods. Pooh (aka Gavin Lewis) and was accompanied by Tigger wannbe John Baldwin, and Pooh driver Katie Baldwin. Pooh was a great favorite of the kids (and grownups) as you can see by the pictures below. Special thanks to One Stop Costume and Party Shoppe who graciously loaned us Pooh!

One of the best things about the evening was reconnecting with some long-time friends. It is hard to believe we began this program ten years ago.
We also able to celebrate staff anniversaries including ten plus years of Kathy Edwards, Jean Darnell, and Danielle Barr. I counted up and together we all have more than 130 years of service to The Partnership. Hope all is well and that you are enjoying this amazing October - Missouri at her finest!
