Linking Hearts last Friday was great! I thought you might like to see a few pictures in case you didn't get a chance to join us!
The day started at The Centre where the kids worked with volunteers to make crafts, play basketball, swim, and run around. It looked like everyone was having a great time and I saw some beautiful creations on Friday!
The weather at Lion's Club Park was perfect and so were the MS&T Greeks. These young men and women are fabulous. I wish I could give each of them a special thank you.
MS&T Greeks made the games, buddied up with the youth, cooked the food, and even gave us money! This year they raised more than $3,000 in their penny wars!
I always love the "buddy matches" and I think you can see why in some of these pictures. Kids are in yellow and the buddies are in gray. We already had a call from one student to ask if they could keep in touch with their match!
The games were amazing - I love the group that came as tools! Literally large tools that the kids got to carry around or interact with!
There were pie throwing games, balloon games, everything a carnival should have! Plus ice cream, soda, and a barbeque!
All together about 600 people participated in the event. We had 51 youth from 29 counties and 30+ families who were ready to adopt! Thanks to all the volunteers, all the foster parents who drove so far to be with us, all of the youth that participated, and of course thank you again so very much Greeks of Missouri University of Science and Technology!
What a great event and what an amazing community! I hope you get to join us next year!

All the Best,
