One of my favorite stories comes from one of our amazing donors. I was recently working on pledge renewals from our community builders and when I called to ask for a continued commitment, there was no hesitation whatsoever… she simply said “my pledge with you is forever”. We are so fortunate to have a community that supports us not only monetarily but through other ways as well. From groups that help us set up for baby bucks each year to individuals who come and fold newsletters, we couldn’t do it without lots of help.
Our department, though small, serves a variety of areas… fundraising, volunteering, data and research, communications, and office coordination.
We have dedicated investors
- 44 Community Builders who donate $1,000 or more per year
- 101 donors who have pledged long-term support
- 95% of our donors fulfilled their pledges
We had seventy-one program-related volunteer opportunities –cooking meals, shopping for shoes, sewing cot sheets, folding newsletters, and so much more – over 20,000 volunteer hours!
We also started a new radio program called Pulse of the Partnership that airs on KTTR every third Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. This and allows us to share with our community about the needs our residents have.
